Requirements

It is very important that you attend all classes and participate actively in order to benefit properly from your Danish language course. Here are the specific admission requirements for the various Danish language classes and courses.

 

Studieprøve-classes (Higher Education Exam):

For admission to Danish 3, Module 6, you must have passed Danish Exam 3 (Prøve i Dansk 3) with a grade of 10 for Reading Comprehension, 7 for Written Communication and 10 for Oral Communication – or with an average of at least 9.5 (following the old 13-scale).

 

Danish 3: For admission to Danish 3, you must have at least 12 years of school and a solid knowledge of a foreign language.

 

Danish 2: For admission to Danish 2, you must have 8-10 years of school.

 

Danish 1: For admission to Danish 1, you should have limited schooling and no knowledge of the Latin alphabet.

 

Au pair: If you are an au pair and come from an EU country or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, all modules are free. If you are an au pair and come from a country not mentioned above, you are offered only two modules of Danish language instruction.

 

Medic: You must be a foreign medical doctor, have passed Danish 3, module 3, and have submitted your diplomas to the National Board of Health.
