If you want to apply for a permanent residence permit, you can obtain 15 points by passing the Active Citizenship Exam (Medborgerskabsprøven). This is a written test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions related to Danish society and everyday life – e.g organisations, rights and duties, the Danish labour market – and Danish history and culture. In order to pass, you need to answer at least 10 out of 15 questions correctly.
Preparation for the Exam
Before taking the exam, you should read the brochure “Fakta om Danmark” developed by the former Ministry of Integration. All questions in the exam can be answered based on the information in this brochure. You are not allowed to bring the brochure or any other aids to the exam.
